ResumePhilosophyWhere does the work end and the fun begin? If I can’t answer this question, then I know I am in the right job. Programming and design present a seemingly endless array of problems to solve. Consider it a compulsion, drive, whatever; but why wake up if you can’t solve?The fundamental hurdle in the jobs I have held is not just creating solutions, but it is identifying the problems accurately enough to beget the most encompassing solution possible. I have seen lots of time wasted because of an incomplete understanding of business goals or the problem set. It is my philosophy that one cannot design or code in a box without an understanding of the complete problem set (both technical and business). I believe it is because of this that my employment has been in organizations of decreasing size. Starting out in an international company of thousands of people, I now find myself in a small company of less than twenty. My work has only improved as my skill set grows more robust and my analysis of the company’s objectives becomes more acute. And let’s face it: playing with computers is damn fun. AboutThe idea behind this section is to bring web technology to the traditional resume. Click on any of the sections of the left to get a list of my skills, projects, or past employers. Each item is given an in-depth explanation and is cross-referenced with appropriate information from the other sections.For example, clicking on a specific item in my Skill List will yield a paragraph describing my experience with that skill, and will display a list of the projects which I have applied that skill to. My motivation for creating this online resume was to show information organization that can only be done on the web, and not on the traditional single sheet of paper.
